Taiwan issued ECPA certificate of origin

It was learned from the economic authorities of the Taiwan authorities that in the first three months of this year, the department had issued a total of 6,469 certificates of origin of the ECFA (Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement) to manufacturers in the exporting countries. The total amount of goods was approximately US$1.1306 billion.

Among them, industrial products accounted for 98% of exports, and the top five products for industrial products were petrochemicals, machinery, textiles, metals, and transportation tools.

The ECFA early harvest plan will be implemented on New Year's Day this year. Taiwan's economic authorities said that from January to February this year, Taiwan's exports to the mainland's highest growth rate of the top 30 products, 12 items for the ECFA early receipt list. Among them, 4 items were not exported to the mainland in the same period of last year, and the export growth rate of the other 8 products was as high as 125% to 58661%. This high-speed growth is the initial manifestation of the benefits of ECFA.

The head of the department’s trade bureau said that it has been advocating with manufacturers through various channels to encourage Taiwanese companies to actively apply for the ECFA certificate of origin in order to increase the utilization rate of early-income list cargo exports.
