Fuel Cell Vehicle and Advanced Ground Transportation Innovation Alliance established in Tongji

Recently, a group of universities, research institutes, and backbone enterprises with advantages in new energy vehicles, ground transportation, and information industries have jointly initiated the formation of the "China Fuel Cell Vehicle Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" and the "Advanced Ground Transportation Innovation Alliance". The first members of the "China Fuel Cell Vehicle Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" consist of four universities: Tongji University, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University of Technology and Chongqing University. Dalian Institute of Physical Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Space Power Supply, and China Automotive Technology and Research Center Domestic research institutions, as well as China's First Automobile Group Corporation, Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd. and other domestic 12 automotive vehicle and component companies, focused on China's fuel cell vehicle R & D and production of superior strength. Each member unit of the alliance will strive to overcome the key core and bottleneck technology of fuel cell vehicles as soon as possible through cooperation and technological innovation. It will solve the problems in the engineering and industrialization of fuel cell vehicles in China and accelerate the industrialization of fuel cell vehicles in China. The first director of the alliance was chaired by Professor Zhang Tong, director of the New Energy Automotive Engineering Center of Tongji University and director of the National Fuel Cell Vehicle and Power System Engineering Technology Research Center.

The “Advanced Ground Transportation Innovation Alliance” has assembled six well-known colleges and universities from Beijing Institute of Technology, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tsinghua University and Tongji University.
