In order to effectively deal with the impact of unfavorable conditions such as bad weather in summer on the power grid, and improve the ability of Shandong Power Grid to handle emergencies during the summer peak season, Shandong Power Grid held the 2011 Summer Fighting Summer Joint Anti-accident exercise on the 24th. According to the prediction of Shandong Power Grid, the maximum load of Shandong Power Plant in summer this year is 52 million kilowatts, which is 15.9% more than last summer. Under normal circumstances, Shandong Power Grid has a power shortage of about 1 million kilowatts during peak hours. Considering the influence of uncertainties and unstable factors such as coal supply, external power input, and extreme weather, the maximum power gap in Shandong Power Grid may reach 3 million kilowatts to 4 million kilowatts. At the same time, due to the changeable climate in summer, more severe weather such as storms and thunderstorms will increase the impact on the safe operation of the power grid. In this exercise, due to the heavy storm weather, a fault occurred at the Qingdao-I converter station and caused a trip of the 500-kV Huade and Hualing lines. After the “failure†occurred, Shandong Power Grid immediately initiated the emergency response of a normal power outage, 2.7 million kilowatts of emergency load was removed, and all generator sets of all rotary standby units and Taishan pumped storage power stations were turned on. After full repair, the power outage of the power grid basically recovered. Since the beginning of this year, Shandong's industrial economy has grown rapidly, and electricity consumption in the entire society has risen rapidly. However, due to measures such as the emergency dispatching of power coal and the “transmission of electricity into Luâ€, there has not been a large area of ​​power cuts in Shandong Province.
