New Achievements in Key Technologies of UV Laser Industrialization in China

The Tsinghua University and other organizations jointly undertook important progress in the "12th Five-Year Plan" 863 plan for the "New Technology and Application of Ultraviolet Laser Key Technologies" in the field of new materials, and recently passed technical acceptance.

The research group solved the technical difficulties of centimeter-grade BBSAG crystal growth, ultra-smooth surface machining of nonlinear crystals, and industrial-scale application of all-solid-state laser assembly, breaking the high beam quality UV frequency conversion, the life and damage resistance of nonlinear optical crystals. , beam pointing stability and many other key technologies, developed a 10-30W all-solid-state UV laser with different power levels and a new type of BBSAG quadruple frequency device, product performance has reached the level of similar foreign products, formed a set of independent intellectual property rights All-solid-state UV laser core technology, and to achieve the trial of the UV laser in the micro-processing complete sets of equipment.

During the implementation of the project, BBSAG crystal growth technology has been transferred to Fujian Fujing Science and Technology Co., Ltd. The company and its subsidiaries have already achieved the production of BBSAG crystals and exported them to developed countries such as Europe and the United States. After this topic was supported, the research team successfully developed a UV laser with a maximum output power of 30W, and all the indicators reached or exceeded the target level of the UV high-power laser from International Optoelectronics. The industrialization of the results of this project will break the monopoly of foreign countries in the ultraviolet laser market and greatly increase the core competitiveness of China's laser micro-processing manufacturing industry.
